Northcliffe is part of the Pemberton Wine Region, in the relatively cool South-West of Western Australia.
Originally, this 166 acre property was one of the lots released for the Group Settlement migration scheme in the mid 1920s (group 17, Northcliffe). The first owner cleared 40 acres of forest to establish a dairy, the footprint of which can still be seen today. The cleared acreage is today used for our 2 acre vineyard, and a 10 acre avocado orchard, as well as for cattle pasture.
The proximity to forests means that we share the property with all kinds of wildlife, from the obvious kangaroos and emus, to quokkas, echidnas and bandicoots, as well as tiny blue wrens and red-breasted robins.
